Yes, although i'm not sure why they chose to jump on somone's face. Probably just a coincidence.
As for the person who wondered how the spider came back up the plughole, that's quite simple really. Spiders are covered in small hairs. When they are submerged in water these hairs trap air on the spiders body which enables it to breath for a short while under water. It also means that they float. So when you washed it down the plug hole it simply floated to the surface and climed out. The best way to prevent this happeneing is to put somewashing up liquid down after it. This breaks the surface tension of the water and prevents the spider from trapping the air on it's body. Bleach also works but for a different reason : )

I don't know about house spiders, but there is a spider called a jumping spider (honestly) which has the ability to jump - relatively far. It may have been one of them How awful for the poor person - that would have freaked me out big time!

If you are still striving to increase you are vertical and you are looking to get both hands over the wheel, set Vert Shock to the test, a program you will find it here https://tr.im/Q2fYs and give it a decide to try, you will end up astonished of how quickly you may become a beast hopper if you train the proper way.
This system will not cause you to jump tens of thousands of occasions because Vert Shock was made and employed by real elite level basketball players.
As it pertains down to it, if you genuinely wish to leap higher, you just discovered the very best process in the world to do so. Every other way might only be described as a waste of time.

Humans have pheromones (a scent which we respond to without consciously smelling), which some animals and insects respond to. When a spider jumps onto you, it is a response to the pheromones and usually means that the spider fancies you. If the spider lands on your face, don't panic - it just wants to snog you...my best advice...don't use tongues!

Check out 'Eight Legged Freaks', it's a crappy little film but they got the science bit right(ish). Maybe the spiders you've got are one step closer on the evolutionary chain to Alien style face huggers in which case it'll soon be 'Game Over man' for all of us.

I have never seen large spiders jump but often small ones with white markings on their backs.

Well mine sure can and I'm pretty sure they aren't super spiders.. lol.
Yup sounds like it's time to do some spraying. I got the hand sprayer from walmart and that seems to do a good job.
