Man! I remember all too well. After I watched it I didn't sleep for two days. I played video games all night. lol.

Yup...that was my very 1st scary movie...ever... my Dad took me on Friday the 13th in the movie theatre when it had just come out...the head chop with the body doing the chicken walk at the end...scared the crap outta me for weeks, my Dad was pissed because I was such a chickenshit after I had lied and told him that my Mom let me watch stuff like that all the time. Never really got over it till "The Shining" came along & took it's place. Now I am impossible to scare...but those sure traumatized me when I was just a kid.

Hell yes!!!! I watched it at he drive in with my parents. My dad about jumped through the roof of the car at the end when Jason jumps out of the lake. I was frozen with fear. I was able to calm down shortly after cause the 2nd movie was Caveman.

I thought it was a psychological thriller as well as a slasher. Creeped me out good. I slept with a night light and a baseball bat and knife. Pretty pathetic
