I was a health care worker in a nursing home for the elderly, (fractured my coccyx and had to quit now), and I used to care for this woman who was not com-pus mentas anymore. She never spoke, just dribbled. Anyway every morning I would go in there and talk to her even though other staff members said it was pointless, as she would never respond and did not know what I was talking about.
After about 6 months of this, I went in there as usual in the morning, chatting as normal and she looked directly at me and said good morning dear! I nearly fell over. She never had a lucid moment again, and passed away shortly after, but it touches you when you get a response from the impossible.

I lived in a beautiful Bedfordshire village and was touched by its beauty every time I went out, or looked outside my patio window.
We had a lovely pub by a canal and just the walk to it was idyllic. You walked through the woods, and the plains, over the canal and then sat by its bank and breathed in all its natural beauty.
In the winter the crisp cold and the snow (2004), bore a transcendental feeling of existence. Something that you had to reach beyond your cognitive faculties to appreciate. One can see it with their heart and be touched by its presence.
Memories of natural beauty that will remain well beyond my earthly existence, and I wish many more will be touched by my beautiful home village!
Those memories fill me tears of joy and happiness; but the human eye can only see the physical ones. The real tears roll in my heart.
This is not a story, it is the truth!
I wish you be touched at least once in your life like this.
My best to you!

Yes, the sky is so beautiful. Sometimes I just stare up in awe.
It makes you feel so small and insignificant.
Its like a new painting everyday.
Also the moon when its low and orange.
I love being outside at night gazing at the stars specially when a nice breeze is blowing.
The smell before it rains.
Indian paint brushes (wildflowers) on the side of the road making the whole area red as you pass.
Rainbows..
The ocean and the sound of the waves.
All these things blow me away.

At work the other night at about 2 am, I was standing the enclosed garden looking at the stars. Everything went totally still, not just quiet but a silence that had depth and texture. At that moment and owl glided over the garden absolutely silently. It was beautiful.

Yes, earlier this year we went to the Caribbean for a holiday of a lifetime, I had never travelled that far from home before, so seeing my very first tropical sunset was out of this world, it took my breath away, so beautiful and everything around just seemed to stop moving, my husband took a photo of it and now we have it as a screensaver on our computer, it still takes my breath away now as it has wonderful memories for me.

Every morning when i draw the curtains open. I see the front of my gardem, hills, trees standing as though pecariosuly on the top of the hill nearby. One of them is striking because on its own and because it is so high in comparison to where i stand, it looks as though as the sun rises from behind it, going up while bringing its colours to the most fabulous shades you would imagine. I see the lough (Lake) nearby and right now its water looks a silver colour.
After living too many years in a city ... To wake up daily in the countryside with such view (And no human beings to spoil it) Makes me feel so happy because, and to me, it is so beautiful i can taste it.

My friend recently flew home from holiday with her 6 year old son and she started to feel very sick, she started to panic and rushed to the loo over a dozen times during the flight. When she returned to her seat her little boy looked at her with tears in his eyes asking " Are you ok Mummy?" she took the time to reassure him and he settled down. The rest of the flight he spent the while time blowing kisses to her as she walked up and down the aisles trying to feel better. It touched me how loving a child can be.

We were in Hawaii last year on a cruise. We rode by the Nepali coast and the cliffs were yellow, pink and blue. Overhead was a brilliant double rainbow. And the ocean was blue, green, and turquoise. Nature at it's best.

my daughter is four years old, and she left nursery in july. The teachers held a mock graduation assembly. To see her in a little black cloak and mortar board, shake hands with the headmistress, and receive a certificate, choked me. that was such a lovely day.
