I'm not sure... I think around 6 months to a year is the best time... ask a doctor and a professional piercer for the best idea.

I personally don't think that it is a good idea to pierce the baby's ears at all. I think that they are too young. She can pull off the earrings and then put it into their mouth. So why don't you wait till she is older, like when she is about three years old.

I waited until my daughter chose to have it done. Needless to say she had her ears pierced at 4 and half years old. I have a 6 month old baby girl and would never pierce her ears now. I will wait the same as the first!!

I just pierced my 8 week old baby's ears last week. I believe it is best to do it at an early age so they won't scream or tug at the earrings. She did not even cry. She kind of let out a moan and I stuck a bottle in her mouth and she was fine. If you wait any longer you should consider doing both of them at the same time.

My daughters ears were pierced around 2.5 months. However my mom had mine and my sisters done around 3 weeks.

hehe, my ears were pierced right after i was born at the hospital! but i would wait till she's older, because when she grows, so will her ears, and the holes may not look even when she's older as they did when she was pierced as a baby~

well that is up to you. I have seen baby's as young as 3 months with thier ears pierced. You need to make sure they are kept clean and that they are not bothering her, other wise she will pull at them.

I wanted to pierce my little girls ears at 2 months, but my husband said he wanted to wait until she was old enough to chose herself. I was a little upset because I think it would be easier to take care of them when she is smaller but Daddy's the word, I wont fight over that!! I think smaller is better!

Of course you won't give her dangly earrings and you'll take super good care of them so they won't get infected. Probably just a few weeks old is fine. Boys are circumcised right after birth.
