And what about Iola's homemade dresses and other stuff didn't you just love those? Would you wear one of Iola's frilly pink and white homemade dresses? You just can't find another show like that, they should make a movie out of it.

I miss that show i watched it every weekday iola's homemade crafts crack me up (what was she thinking of when she made those) Oh and vint Harper he was so dumb and funny.
Mama stoled the show I like the episode where she volunteered to watch reverend meechume's (I guess that's how it's spelled) grandson Eugene so funny she woke up the next morning all tide up vint thought they were playing cowboys and Indians.

I agree! Do you remember Iolas homemade Kleenex holder? Naomi is a trip also, poor Vinton!! I would love to see it as a movie. Like Raymond Romano as Vinton, Molly Ringwald could come back as Naomi easily. Megan Mullaly could be Iola and Momma could be no other than Ellen D. in all the same garb that Vicky Lawrence wore.

I was watching it every morning at 6 am EDT on TBS until recently, when they took it off. Iola is in a class by herself. Poor thing never got a permanent boyfriend. She had the date arranged thru the dating ad in the newspaper, which was a disaster and the sailor guy in Hawaii; but never a permanent boyfriend.
My favorite episode is when Mama rides back and forth on the wrecking ball when they are going to raze her house.
Yes, a movie would be great! Maybe they could get Iola a boyfriend then.

I still love Mama's Family but of all the episodes nothing beats any of the Eunice episodes or the original skits from the Carol Burnett Show, those two together (Mama & Eunice) were the best on TV, I hated that it (The series) begins with Mama's funeral and it is all a flashback, that sucked, but still a favorite!!!

I love Mama's Family!!! I really love, the fact that someone from the other side of the tracks, such as Naomi, could actually love a numskull such as Vinton! And mama, she's the funniest! Bubba's just being Bubba,CUTE!

I love that show. When I was a little girl in the 70's, I went to church with a lady that made me little dresses like that. I miss those days.

i love mama's family.. it used to be on at 6-7 am on tbs, but now they put becker on.. yuck..remember some of iolas crafts!! so gawdy!!

I love it! They show re-runs all the time! It's Hilarious! I love the episode when her next door neighbors (I can't remember her name) cat Midnight died, and they put it in the freezer... hahaha Good Show!
