So I'm downloading some songs and once they're finished something pops up and says limewire has detected a corruption in the file do you want to continue the download.

What does that mean? does it mean it contains virus's and will it screw up my computer if I choose to continue download.?

it means that the file won't play, best to just stop the down load (dl) and select a different file from the search to dl.

be careful of limewire and any similar p2p file sharing. originaly it was a good service, now it is being abused by lots of hackers... and ppl who want to make easy money.... like u might spend a long time downloading a certain file then it will ask u to pay money to get a lisence...!!!!

It just means that the file is probably broken or defective. Just stop the download and try to get your file from another host/source. Thanks, J
