I'm 11 weeks pregnant, some dull cramping, no bleeding... just wondering if anyone else experienced/are experiencing this. I had an ultrasound and the baby is growing fine and has an excellent heartrate of 156 bpm, and they said nothing to worry about.

I heard a big reason is your uterus stretching. This is mine and my husband's first baby. Just looking for reassurance.

I believe it's the uterus stretching. I had the exact same thing happen for weeks -- from the beginning of my pregnancy until about 16 weeks, off and on. At first I thought they were menstrual cramps so I delayed taking a pregnancy test, thinking my period was coming any day. But now I'm 30 weeks along and no complications. You're probably fine. Especially if there's no bleeding.

This is totally normal. The cramps you are feeling are called round ligament pains. You must understand that your body is going through many changes. I had them all the way through my 5th month of pregnancy. When I first found out I was pregnant I got scared and went to the emergency room just to find out that I had waisted my time and the pains were normal. Some women have them more often than others. Remember everyone is different and if you are feeling scared or uneasy about anything you should contact your doctor. That is what they are there for. Good luck with your pregnancy and congratulations!

yes, that is normally the reason for pain at 11 wks. Just make sure that you watch for blood. That is not a good sign. you are almost at the "safety" point of 12 weeks. that is great. you will probably have more cramping throughout the pregnancy. again due to uterine stretching. There are also ligaments called round ligaments that stretch while you are pregnant also. even later, there will also be some hip pain, they need to spread some. I feel weird giving you all of this bad stuff, but there is plenty of good stuff to follow. congratulations.

mother of 2 with one on the way.
