My daughter is nearly 6 and she still does it now, and it gets quite chilly when your asleep, I've just been and covered her up again. I'm in and out of my bed 2 or 3 times a night covering her up.
You could buy the woolly sleeping bag. My mom made me one, it was like a cardigan at the top, with a little hood, but it was really long and squared off with buttons at the bottom, if you know what I mean. Really nice, I'm sure you can buy them, and that will keep your baby warm.
Good luck.

My daughter was the same i invested in a baby sleeping bag and have sworn by them ever since, that way they stay covered and you dont have to worry about the covers going over there heads or falling off.

When we had same problem with baby years ago my wife dressed her in a warm all-over overall including feet and it seemed to work well. We lived in cold mountains. But you might have to watch for overheating? Your babe might be responding to weight of the covers rather than heat? We all have different "thermostats" which change with age. I used to sleep with a sheet and light blanket when my mate needed a thick doonah. Now situation reversed.

you should be happy
your baby is doing normal things
winter is coming? so what? it's not the first winter and it wont be the last
if you're worried about the baby getting cold, then the baby sleeping bag is a good idea

You might just have a fidgetty baby, but don't worry. What you need to put her in is a jumpsuit that has feet inbuilt so that if she gets uncovered during the night, she wont get cold. Bonds have great baby suits, also try putting her in baby thermal wear, that way her body heat will keep her warm also.

Babies are designed to be born and nursed in caves, fields, forests e.t.c. for this reason they have an extra layer of special fat called brown fat to prevent from becoming too cold. This means that babies are pretty good at keeping themselves warm. What they are not so good at is cooling off when they are getting too hot. One method they use is too kick off the bedclothes and open themselves out to increase their surface area. DO NOT USE SLEEPING BAGS, SWADDLE YOUR BABY LIKE A PAPOOSE, TUCK HIM TIGHTLY IN THE BEDCLOTHES OR PUT HIM TO SLEEP ON HIS FRONT TO STOP HIM FROM TAKING THE BEDCLOTHES OFF. These have all been linked to an increased risk in S.I.D.S. or 'Cot Death.' Talk to your Health visitor for advice.

Just make sure she is in warm pjs. If they aren't the ones with footed bottoms then make sure to keep socks on her. I wouldn't worry too much about it. She probably just moves a lot. If she gets too cold, she'll cry and you can just cover her back up again.

I have the same problem with my baby. I dress her really warmly and wrap her up when its time for bed. I also put mitts on her hands so if she does wiggle out of her blankets, she is still pretty warm.
