You can put your name on a register with your address and state that you allow this information to be given out.

Then, if your child wishes to find you, or needs to know his medical heritage, it will be easy for him to do so.

Modern laws have made it a simple process if both agree, and if the records still exist. DNA registers are useful in those cases where records were destroyed.

I am sorry you are not well. There is adoption.com - they have chat boards where you can post information about your son and, if he is there, he can find you. There are also many first parents there who can help you with resources and support.

To the other people who answered this negatively - just because she placed her child into an adoption 14 years ago doesn't mean that she didn't love him or stopped loving him after the adoption.

I hope you find what you are looking for and that your son is happy and that you regain your health.

Best Wishes,

Foxxy

Try and contact the people or place where u gave him up for adoption. then ask them to whom they gave ur son. Usually they don't give out names, or if u have no shortage of money, call a private detective, but make sure he's well known. Or very deteminedly, without giving up and taking "no" as an answer, keep after the people to whom u gave him 14 yrs ago, till they give u the name of the people whom they gave him to.

You need to contact the adoption agency in your state or country. These days there are procedures in place to enable you to do this. They won't just give you the name, instead they will contact the child first to make sure he is OK with it.

Good luck!

ok. refer to the adoption agency you went through.
just ask if they can find out how he is. just say you just want to know if he's happy. if they cant do that for you, sorry, i cant help you.
but you could appeal to some kind of legal means, and say all you want to know is how is doing, if he is happy.
that all i can say

Why do you suddently care now? Think of how you coming around will affect him/her now. They have a life now, don't go messing in it.
