I used to have an updated version of Norton, but kept getting messages saying that I needed a particular .dll file. And even after I downloaded & installed it, I would still get such a message, or it'd change to another needed .dll file that I needed.
My friend, who had the same problem, did a search for other anti-virus programs, and came across "F-Secure" (http://www.f-secure.com/) It allows you to d/l a 30-day trial. When I did, I then scanned the computer...it found a few trojans and a bunch of virus'! Norton never even came close to finding them. lol, my friend said he doesn't know what the "f" stands for in the name, but he wouldn't be surprised if it was "f'ing secure", but it really does secure your computer.
and when I was having some difficulties once (computer freaked out once), I learned that customer service has a toll-free number that connects w/ extremely knowledgeable fellows in the UK. Very good, FREE customer service.
Only problem I can find w/ it is that even if you buy a membership, you can only put it onto one of your computers...so if you have a desktop & a laptop, you'd have to buy 2 memberships :(
The only problem I can find about it is that

i'd say Norton. i'm utilizing Norton 360 for ~$70 consistent with twelve months. I did have countless the matters previous posters defined yet those have been corrected. to absolutely uninstall Norton, you prefer their uninstall application, which you get from their shopper provider branch. to resign the source hogging (I initially had that subject with Norton 360) you acquire to Norton 360 -> Settings -> activity Scheduling -> computerized initiatives and uncheck the initiatives checkbox. That fixed that subject for me. i've got additionally carried out trials of CA, Kaspersky, Panda, AVG, and charm Micro. by potential of a approaches Norton 360 has carried out the best usual with the least bloat. yet you get what you pay for... BTW: don't get purely an antivirus. Get an cyber web risk-free practices kit from besides the fact that seller you pick on.
