Seems to me that most of us (including myself) fail to vote for any of the answers on page 2 (when there is one) for best answer. Seems unfair since they were on page 1 when answered. Anybody see this too?, because if votes don't matter then why do we vote? Hmmm. Now be nice, please, I'm fragile. Rat

Sadly enough, people don't have the time or patience to sit through 30 answers to weigh them. They're going by what they see on the first page.

When you're skimming through answers ,the first page and maybe the second page will get looked at, but it's easier to just rate by whatever is first.

If Yahoo developed a system where people get extra points for having selected the correct one that gets chosen as best, that might make people devote more time to weighing on what they decide is a good answer.

But then again, you could get cheaters. If you had a group of 3 poeple that went around all voting 3 points on undecided questions where no one is really paying attention, they could score points and abuse the system where it's not really based on merit.

We just happen to live in a sped up society based off of Instant Gratification.

Comedian Dane Cook was joking about how slow the DMV is when it comes to processing your license. However, he said that in the future everything is going to be faster and just like in Star Trek where you can beam to work in 1 second.

However, at the DMV, it'll take 9 seconds and people will be complaining about how 9 seconds is too long :).

Look at people now who complain about how long it takes to load a page? I still remember when we had 2400 baud modems. 14.4 KB was considered really fast back in 1993. Now people get impatient when they can't download a 4 MB file in 1 minute on DSL.

It's just that some people aren't as committed to checking every single page other than page 1. In just 3 words, i can sum up everything for you, "THEY ARE LAZY!"

Peace
