Do you get irritated when people say aKs instead of ask!? In a court room for instance.

Yes, I agree that is an irritating one!

Here's another one that grates on my nerves: When people say they are "representing." As if that's a complete sentence or thought. It's not. What are you representing? That's a dangling, incomplete sentence.

Or how about this one: "We conversated." Who started that one? I'd like to choke them!

And don't even get me started on "Where are you AT?"

If people only knew how ignorant they sounded when they used those!

It annoys me, but not unbearably so. The poor grammar in all of these posts is atrocious, too. I don't see how anyone that has posted yet has a right to complain about how someone says a word.

ya of course. they sound so awkward. i really hate when they say can i aks u a ques. they should realize that they dont know well english or else they wanna show off that they kno english nd can speak fluent english. thats where they make mistake

I feel its more of an accent thing than a grammatical error. Ppl belonging to certain regions have such accents that they pronounce some words differently.

Yes , Its just another sign of the degradation of the English language.... but I will survive, I survived the "been there done that " craze which made me just a little crazy.

I am saying it out loud but it is very hard to do. I have an Australian accent though, so maybe that's why...

I hate people who make singulars into plurals.
e.g - "I'm going to K-Marts"

Yes, it really bothers me. Poor grammar and spelling bothers me too. I'm just picky.
