I think most doctors talk about 6 months to a year. And I believe they start recommending some tests (sperm count, etc) after about 18 months or so.

this depends a lot on age, the younger the more fertile

as for my personal experience?
- baby number 1 took about 6 months or so. could have gone faster but after a couple months of not succeeding we checked diary / my wife's cycle, and found out that I had been traveling (I travel quite a bit) every month during her fertile period, so fat chance. After we paid attention to this (not too bright not to have thought about it in the first place...), it worked quickly
- baby number 2 was quick, a couple months
- babies 3 and 4 same thing, actually 4 worked at the first try

Hope this helps

Medical professionals don't suggest you have any therapy except you have got been trying for twelve months. In case you read something about conceiving, it can be surprised any individual can get pregnant! There are only 12 days a year that you could conceive and the entire limitations the egg and the sperm have got to go by way of, it soounds like quite tough work! Pronouncing that, it took us three months to conceive our son.

I heard average is 3-12 months... when my husband and I decided to try we figured out when I would ovulate, did the deed, and missed my very next period, so it took us a month. Different for everyone.

In the nearly four years my husband and I have been together, we've had unprotected sex twice. Both times I conceived immediately. I have two sons. :)

It can take only one time. I'm pretty sure of it since my parents wedding aniversary is November 29th, and I was born on August 31st. That's roughly nine months.
