I love Anne Rice ...she is a little crazy ...and some of her books arn't that great. I am a bit of a goth at heart, so I love her vampire chronicles ...Anne combines really dark fiction with sexy charaters and intricated plots that are woven thru history - often described as a "romp thru history". The books include a lot of historically accurate facts, as well as social commentary ...which makes the books seem all the more real ...except for the vampire part :)

I have read all the books that Robert Ludlum has written and although I have moved on to appreciate Bryce Courtney, John Grisham, James.A. Michener, Dan Brown and others, it was a book called the Aquitane Progression that was written by Robert Ludlum, that attracted me to fiction and how your imagination can be unlimited, not just for writing but in life...

I write novels, essays and poems, so I am my favorite author, because I write things that interest me greatly. A series of novels involves going into the past to 1933, 1926, 1914, 1616, 898 and 228 (AD). I'm working on a 4th edition of "THE COSTLIEST WATCH BRANDS". The others were done in 1996,1999 and 2002. My poems are in Chinese and Japanese. One begins:
Lei ge gwai pei
hai ho bo mei
hai um hai hei... ...

Dostoevsky. The novels are long, but well worth the read. I haven't seen another author of such psychological depth and understanding of human nature. Plus, his scenes come alive like no other.

I fell in love with Vladimir Nabokov simply because his style is enchanting - always projects a tinge of humor even on subjects that are suppose to be serious. Plus, he really is an intelligent bastard =D

Charles Dickens because of his effective social crusades for the poor in Victorian England, and his superb characterisations of people. His writing is so energetic and witty, it can be very comical or very dark, he was a genius, we could do with another Dickens today
