I have been married for about 30 years. There is no love or romance in the marriage. How do you start over? How does one meet people at my age?

Hi, I'm 47 and just started over. Instead of sitting around feeling sorry for myself, I went to a local club where they have dance classes. They supply partners and it is a great way to meet people. If you think about it, there are numerous adult classes, dance lessons etc. These are a great starting point. As hard as it is, keep your chin up. There is always light at the end of the tunnel

Hi I am 59 and about to start again. I am not only leaving my husband of 27 years but I am also going to move to another country. I am not worried about meeting people at this stage as all I want to do is concentrate on rebuilding my self esteem and gain some peace and quite as a single. I believe that when I have found what I want most of all then if I am to find someone else that will come in time. All I can say to you is take it slowly and enjoy your freedom. Depending on your interests you can always meet people. I enjoy sport, bingo and BBQs and I expect to make friends at any or all of these environments and I am sure in time you will also.

Well, i may be 15, but my mother is nearing 50 and she and my father divorced and she hasnt dated in 10 some odd years..so its difficult for her to get back in the game..you know what i mean? my advice to you is to make yourself up georgeous, then go to a singles event *something that you like to do cuz if its not...well then its not as much fun* and be bold. if your bold already, then tone it down. i would suggest blue colouring on your clothes to make you look approachable. if blue isnt your colour, then try something with mellow tones to make you look as ease. If a man comes to talk to you, if hes a questionarre, then just give the guy the answers to the questions your comfortable with. and return the favor. if no one comes by to talk to you, dont be discouraged. go to someone and just say hi with a smile on your face and then you be the person asking questions. one more piece of advice is to meet up with a few women your age to talk with so you dont have to be stuck with a huge male ego all evening....lol. hope this helps.....

You still together? Maybe you should to talk to your partner and share your problem then solve it. Sounds like you're losing hope already and you want to meet new people. But i guess you have to work things out first.

Sorry to hear about your marriage, if you can't save it (counseling), then wait until you are divorced. I met my wife online at age 47 on a dating site. Obviously one has to be careful.

Hi raredawn,
My name is Mark and I saw your question on yahoo answers.

I thought that I would try and get to know you.
I have more information in my profile.
Please feel free to read it, if you would like to.
Hopefully, we can write to each other later.
Untill then, have a good day.
