In all my life, I had never had something like this happen to me before. Probably the deer sensed something of the animal lover in me and seemed to make an appeal with her eyes.I lifted the kid gently and placed it on the side of the road, covering it up with a blanket from my trunk.
come on guys, put on your thinkingcaps, this could go anywhere........

I've written novels, short stories, essays and poems. I'm working on a 4th edition book about watches now. Where do you find Route 66 now? There once was a TV show about it I hear. It used to go diagonally across the USA, but it has been replaced I think. I recall seeing a short stretch of it in Arizona years ago. Is your story set in the past? I've written a series of tales set in 1933, 1926, 1914, 1616 and 898. That takes much research. I won't ride with you if you listen to Garth Brooks. If you heard a loud noise, it was me when I shot your radio with my .500 Magnum Linebaugh "Bisley" revolver. OMG indeed!

I kept thinking over and over of how everything I touch turns to disaster. My life, my relationships, my hopes and dreams. I had moved to New Mexico to escape the ashes of my last disaster, and here I was, not 6 months into my new life, and yet another innocent life had been shattered by my carelessness. As I knelt there, I heard the sound of a diesel truck slowing down. I blink the tears from my eyes to see an 18 wheeler stopping across the highway from me.

I had an ambition to write a short story not exceeding 1500 words dealing with the social problems like widow remarriage, father-son relationship, husband and wife relationship and lot of other problems. With this view in my mind, I started writing about 3 years back. When it was ready, I didn't know to whom I have to approach. Luckily i was introduced to a scholar, who holds a post-graduation with doctorate in English literature. He helped me to publish my story in a book.

in my opinion, that ought to would desire to be "The Legend of Sleepy hollow" by potential of Washington Irving. that is contemporary in "The Sketchbook of Geoffrey Crayon" (Ivring's e book which the story is a factor of) wjich you will desire to be waiting to discover (the two by potential of that call or greater purely "The Sketchbook," yet another reproduction would study "The Legend of Sleepy hollow and different memories from the Sketchbook") in bookstores and libraries. you additionally can discover it on line at undertaking Guttenberg. although, as I already mentioned it is my opnion. and that's what this question is easily all approximately, human beings's evaluations of what the best short tale is. you ought to ask one hundred diverse human beings and valuable get a minimum of twenty diverse solutions (taking repeat answerts into acount). there is genuinely no short tale which may well be claimed to be the very best, yet there are hundreds of canidates for that call. till each man or woman can agree on purely one, there'll stay hundreds of canidates.

I had hit a fawn. The little deer was still alive, but just barely. I looked around and there stood its mother. She was beside herself seeing her baby hurt. I didn't know what to do. What should I do ?
