Depends on the engineer, or the lawyer. However, it probably does require more intelligence, or at least more studiousness, to get an engineering degree than a law degree. But if a person is brilliant and is simply more interested in law than engineering, that doesn't make him any less intelligent than an engineer.

An engineer by far. Far much harder science and math courses than a lawyer. Besides, the lawyer could of just went to some overseas easy school to practice law. Studying law is just memorization. Engineering requires so much math and science.

How;s this for logic? When an engineer gets into trouble, he calls his lawyer. When the lawyer is in trouble he certainly doesnt need an engineer. So, the Lawyer wins!!!

The role of engineer keeps changing as technology advances. The engineer must keep on.

Law is based on precedence.

Book smarts - engineer
Street smarts - laywer

An engineer must deal with formula, math, precision. A laywer (at least a trial lawyer) deals with perceptions, assumptions, interpretations. You're comparing apples & oranges.
