why is it that women have this urge to wake you up at 3 am and ask " how much do you love me. and then they get ticked of when you tell them "enough not to kick you out of the bed for waking me at 3 am to answer a bonehead question this time of night"?

She may have had a lot of things on her mind and was unable to sleep and she may have needed you to reassure her that you do love her. She may have felt insecure and needed you to hold her and for you to tell her so she can hear your voice. She cares for you and loves you. Even if it is at bedtime and you sleeping she just needs to feel your feelings. Just take a moment and let her know that you do love her even if you have to get up at 4 in the morning.

Your answer (at that time) was just as ridiculous as you felt the question was. As annoying as it might have been, it would have been the perfect time to show a little sensitivity. Maybe that's why she asked in the first place.
Mostly, all women really want is to feel that their guy really cares for them. They are different from us and they need that assurance to feel protected and wanted.
Personally I don't that's too much to ask.

Lets not generalize now gentleman, personally I've never done it.
But I can promise you this..wake me up 3am and I promise your
a$$ would be sleeping on the sofa regardless how adorable you are.
She might have just had a bad dream and wanted to hear her prince charming tell her how much he loves and appreciates her.

LOL..that's a good one, I have never done that...I get up at 4 am just like he does so I value my sleep..If I want to ask him anything goofy I ask him when we are both awake...Hopefully she doesn't wake you up at that time of night again for anything as silly as that..

Hah....you're lucky! My wife had a dream that I was making a pass at another woman and woke up and smacked me!! (what a way to wake up...took her almost two minutes to realize that she'd been dreaming it).

Why can't you just tell her you love her and be nice? Is that so difficult?
