He's probably confused and has conflicted emotions about you. He probably still has love for you, but is also angered by the breakup. Unfortuantly, by calling like that, he's making his confusion your problem - which it may or may not be, depending on the circumstances of the breakup. I assume that you don't want to keep talking to him? If so, you could try to talk to him calmly and patiently, especially if it ended on good terms, or if you broke up with him - and explain calmly why it didn't work (if he needs to know) and why you think you two need distance. But unless your ex is a mature /patient / sane person, this might not go well. If that isn't an option, ask him to stop calling next time he calls, or block him. If he continues in a stalker like fashion, then consider taking more stringent steps - like a restraining order.

If you do want to talk to him, well then, talk. But make sure he is respectful towards you - and tell him that hanging up on you is disrespectful and that you won't talk to him if he keeps doing that to you. Because that is just rude.

hmm... you seem to have a case of a "psychological boyfriend". those "psychological types" that like to play emotional games so that it empowers them and thus makes them feel "superior". the type that likes to guilt you into thinking you did something wrong when in fact you didn't do anything wrong.

answer: stay away.

try to get out of it before you get too attached. this can lead to other potentially hazardous behavior. not necessarily physically or life threatning hazards, but EMOTIONAL hazards. and you don't wanna be attached to a person like this.

Sounds like he's playing games, if you start hanging up on him, maybe he'll stop calling you. Why should you continue to be nice to someone who's treating you so badly?

Because he knows that you are the best he had and he hang up because he can not take that. You won and he lost! Tell him to stop calling you.

he is immature and enjoys messing with your heart. guys like to make sure they still have some control over their ex's. show him you are over him by hanging up on him first.

HE IS TRYING TO STAY CONNECTED TO YOU IN SOME WAY. IT GIVES HIM CONFIDENCE TO "HAVE YOU IN HIS BACK POCKET" WHILE HE GOES OUT AND TRIES TO SEDUCE OTHER WOMEN. HAVING YOU IN HIS BACK POCKET GIVES HIM CONFIDENCE THAT IF HE IS REJECTED, HE IS STILL ACCEPTABLE TO YOU. IT SI LIKE A POWER TRIP. THIS IS COMMON, AND OFTEN REFERRED TO AS 'STRINGING SOMEBODY ALONG'..
