8.0 yahoo and problems?

I recently downloaded yahoo 8.0 and all has been fine until right now Everything i try to do including typing this question is delayed Any answers for me

i believe 8.0 may have a bug since it is in beta versions(as far as i know)..i dont have any problem with it but when my friend downloaded it he cant connect to yahoo using it so he still uses the old version..
