Pro - Efficiency - Different countries can be good at different things, or have different resources, and a global economy in theory means the world would produce more if each is able to trade freely for what they are good at producing

con - we become more alike, we lose culture - 2 examples

Cola - horrible crap that is nutritionally worthless, straight sugar, rots your teeth, acquired taste that is actually kind of yuckie. But with westernization, big corporate power and major marketing, it is ahead of tea traditions among China youth. It is replacing more nutritional drinks in other countries. It is NOT good for the very poor to waste their money on cola.

Potatoes - did you know we grew more varieties of potatoes 100 years ago than we do today? Different countries had different traditional meals based on local crops. Now we grow the few best varieties that can be turned into a MacDonald's french fry. This is actually more prone to a single disease that can wipe out the whole crop that might not if there were more variations. Now think of that in terms of outbreaks of mad cow, bird flu, and foot-and-mouth disease, etc.

More access to resources from other parts of the world. But these things may affect the domestic situation..like cheaper goods flowing in, cheaper than what can be produced domestically. There may be tariffs and quotas and stuff, but still there are some effects. For ordinary consumers, it may be a good thing as they can buy inexpensive things.

globalization is intergrating our economy with the international economy.it has surely benefited developing countries by enabling them to sell their finished products in other countries and thus increase their economy but on the other hand it has created a difference in the international market. the developed countries have taken over the market and have started dominating the developed countries. thus globalization is surely bene \ficial to the developed countries while to the developing countries like india it may create problems.
