Politicians are like diapers.. they need to be changed often, and for the same reason.

Absolutely not. The purpose of being in politics is to gain power. In order to achieve this end it is necessary to lie and cheat and above all pretend you love the leader, because one day the leader might summon you to the big office and give you a job in government. Give me a cheating lier every time. They usually win in the political arena. Have you noticed also, how many politicians are practising lawyers? They're paid to lie aren't they?

To tell u the truth. any one how has been elected to any seat in government since the beginning of time, is not a straight shooter. they will tell you what you want to hear just to get into the seat their going for and then drop you like a hot potato.
I would love to be the one to be given the opportunity to be in a government seat. I would do a house cleaning of all the position's that are there now. and put real people in their place. people that really want things to happen not just shouting at each other with stupid answer that we don't care to hear about

British politician, Estelle Morris, is the nearest I can think of. She resigned as Education Minister because she felt she wasn't able to do a good job (or blindly tow the party line). Refreshing!

That be called an oxymoron , I honestly believe a lot start out that way, but once your in, its impossible to stay that way, it simply goes against the political grain. To have honesty is to have integrity and that's the first thing that goes..pity
