Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Love is like a fire. It has to be kindled and fed often or it will go out and the marriage will end. Love is not required for an arranged marriage though. And an arranged marriage understands this and is more like a contract in the business of intimacy with another.
Still in an arranged marriage you always wonder what life might have been like if only................... And you find yourself asking the all-mighty question........."what if?"

Both have benefits.
Love marriages are the best, IF they are based on true love and not just infatuation. The starry-eyed, romantic, "madly in love" kind of love usually lasts only a year or two. After that it will either fade and die, or turn into an enduring true love. Unfortunately these days, most couples marry while still at the madly in love stage, and don't wait to see how it will develop.
Arranged marriages are dreadful, if the partners are chosen just for family or wealth reasons. But they can be more successful than a love match, if the partners are chosen because they are well-matched.
The reason is that we often don't see ourselves clearly, so when we go out looking for a partner, we very often choose people who are quite unsuitable for us. We may make several mistakes before we realise - if we ever do - that we are looking for the wrong kind of person. Other people see us much more clearly, so a matchmaker can see that a couple would be ideal for each other, when they could not make that judgment.

Both are equally good in one way or the other.
Love marriage affords thrill and fulfilment
Arranged marriage offers more family
security with social accpetance.
Life, as you know, is a long journey till death.
Despite initial strong attractions, the real side
proves sometimes later the other way round.
As you know, every attraction has its own
repulsion as in magnetism in mild steel.
So many factors play their role in attractions
the prime being beauty, which doesn't long last.
Far more demands and expectations crop up
which a marriage can hardly afford easily.
When the marriage is in doldrums, there has to be
support and security from parental families and society.
Although the thrill is less in majority of the cases,
arranged marriage is better in the sense there is
comparatively more security, especially for the bride
and her issues. This may be seen against what is now
happening in the West out of love marriages on a mass
scale. Just as one cannot always smile though he/she does,
happiness in marriage is like the moon seen and unseen.
One has to be able to put up with both whether it is love marriage or arranged marriage. Or else, either can prove a failure without proper will and understanding. And it is one's own choice with real commitment and resolve for the course of life with another as a couple life-long. That's the beauty.

Both are ok, according to the level upto which a person has evolved !
Traditionally arranged marriages are viewed as a tremendous possibility to seek the truth to-gether, and for doing so, the togetherness in every activity of life supports to deepen the personal levels or perception, beyond sense organs, not depriving oneself any available tool, technique (afforded by such a marriage!).
Since this highest possibility is becoming very bleak with modern levels of priorities of life, arranged marriages would turn out to be a torture to most people. For instance, the quietitude of a serene place could be a blessing to a person in silence, seeking deeper levels of consciousness, but a torture to a person who seeks to be always in a crowd, not missing the fun of life !

Love marriage. Can't imagine ever having an arranged marriage, yet there are cultures that do just that, too, and they seem to be some strong marriages. Nah, I need to love the person I want as my better half & he had better love me just as much.

If love is the only reason you're transforming into to be married...awaken!! love can't be the only reason, thats a valuable recepie to disaster whilst life gets actual!!a solid marriage is what creates love and love comes with time and age and provided that the two one in each of you're keen to make issues artwork....I easily have had quite a few relationships previously marriage...yet i had an arranged marriage, coz our objectives in life have been the same, our values matched, our theory of a soul mate matched and love occurred as we grew in togetherness...i grow to be of the opinion arranged marriages have been unusual, yet mine and a brilliant form of like mine are purely wonderous....its an entire diverse holiday of understanding and discovering yet another who's strolling the same miles which you incredibly prefer to stroll in life...arranged marriage any day yet God Bless you hit upon the purrfect one, like i did... :)

now a days in marriages Boy & girl see each other in college or other places.They just know each other. No love, No dating. Further once they both get in service then boys contact most suitable girl out of his selected list & give marriage proposal. Mostly it is accepted by girls as they know the boy earlier. At this stage boy & girl inform to their parents regarding there choice. Then both parents meet together & arrange that marriages.
WHAT YOU CALL THIS TYPE OF MARRIAGES ?
I can call PROPOSAL - ARRANGE - LOVE marriage These marriages are best & most prefered. & success rate is more in this marriages.

A love marriage arranged by the family members.Both the girl and the boy are mature ,educated and most of the times are financially independent and secure.Its upto them to choose the life partner,not ignoring the elders presence.
