Yes I have. And i agree. It is not like it is portrayed in the movies or t.v. It is all fun and games and endorphins in the beginning, but to make it last, it takes work. Sadly, most people nowadays are not willing to put work into a relationship. I know I will stick with my hubby through thick and thin. I knew this when my father was in his death bed, and all through his illness, when my mother was taking care of him. They had the kind of love I want. Though I never saw it, I am sure there was a lot of "behind the scenes" work that went into their over 50 year marriage. But in the end, my dad did not die alone, but next to his loving wife and children.

That is true love.

Yes I have and we have been married for 15 years and together for 16. I met him on New Years Eve 1989. I was married before when I was 18 for almost 10 years and I never realized what love really was until I met my 2nd husband.

We met, actually, 3 or 4 times before we actually "met". When I say we met those few times, that was actually over a period of about.hmmm. 3 years. Never formally introduced during those times, just saw him at awkward times at clubs (for ex: we took our girlfriend out for bachlerette party, he was there) Went to a club, saw him, started talking-oops, had to go! Friends were leaving. Another time, talked a bit & had to say "bye". (never knew his name either) We formally were introduced by a friend, well, a few years later on the 3rd month. He drove me home in a horrid snowstorm. He lived 1 hr away so I offered him to stay, no touching involved! Or he's in the snowbank faster than I can say ... 9 yrs later we are happily married!

No such thing. At least not in the sense portrayed in movies and fairy tales. Love is a powerful emotion and serves a very useful and beautiful purpose in society. but the concept of true love is sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy. People believe in it because they need to. It's an intimate and personal religion of sorts.

Yes, we have been together 12 years, and where we have at difference of opinion, we have never gotten into a yelling and screaming match and every difference of opinion has been resolved within an hour.

We have been able to talk out everything. Of course, we are both divorced and have learned a lot from our previous marriages. His ex was an alcoholic, mine was a controlling, heartless idiot.

I think we both know what we had and what we now have and want to keep what we have, so we both work at it.

Yes I did and we have been married now for 26 years! We are definitely soul mates. I went out with many women before I met my wife and none of them gave me that "she's the one vibe" like she did and at the same time she was experiencing the same feelings. We couldn't be happier. We are just as much in love now as we were then.

Yes, many times. No kidding. When I was young, I always thought that I would meet "the one". Turned out that, over time, several women made me feel like they were "the one".
I have only really been deeply in love with 3...and the last one I married.

When I stumble
When I fall
When I'm walking ten feet tall
Love is there day after day

Even at the worst extreme
Or after I have been redeemed
Love is there
And it won't let me go

Life has let me down
In wealth, joy can't be found
I've searched for peace in all of these
But I have always found

The love of the Lord endures
If there's one thing I can be sure
It's that the love of the Lord endures
