No one even comes close. The U.S. spends more on its military than the next twelve countries combined. As of 2006, it has the world's largest nuclear arsenal and combines some of the world's most technologically advanced weapons systems with the expeditionary capability to project military power to any point in the world.
They will always be a superpower.

The USA has squandered its wealth and manpower. The economy is still strong but the Nation is bitterly divided over the War. It will need drastic changes to put us back on the right track.

ummmm, we are the only superpower left. China is catching up. This sounds a bit like the arguments we had on the playground as kids "my dad could beat up your dad". Doesn't it? Sorta silly.
