just swapping out your seats isn't going to make you any fast, if you want to shave a small amount of time off your 1/4 mile rip out the entire interior

cloth by far... leather is thicker and way more dense.

leather racing seats remove weight because the frame rail is made of lighter material, it doesn't have as much padding, some don't have the recline mechanisms etc. Take out a stock seat, then go to a race shop and pick one up, you'll feel a big difference in weight.

Somebody is on crack.

Leather is heavier.

However, leather is known to be far more durable than any cloth interior.

Notice, leather shoes last longer than other materials!!! I tend to eat in my car so I like leather seats because I can clean up my spills without the stain immediately setting on leather.

Cloth is problematic. One spill and you must pull out the upholstery cleaner and scrub and scrub and scrub to remove the stain. Too much effort for such poor results. Goodness! Too much hassle.

Leather can also shine when you polish it with leather moisturizers.

I like leather a whole lot better!
