dry land stretching is a must. It prevents muscle tears and injuries. Also when doing a difficult workout, stretching before AND after helps ease the muscle soreness.

Just do really good stretches ....the more you warm up those muscles the more you can get out of your workout/swim

swinging your arms and shake your legs and so. Like you make swim movements (out the water) and streching is also very good

as a swimmer i suggest..
1. Streach and prevent cramps...
2. drink some water....
3. do a sprint on the pavement and relax...
