From a demographic point of view this is not totally true. Single women and particularly single mothers prefer Democrats. Democrats also do well with hard core feminists. Republicans tend to do better with middle class and upper middle class married women.

I dunno...
Most of the women I know are looking for a man who has strong moral and ethical values, and who believes in God.
They would want him to be a good husband, father and a successful breadwinner.
They want a man who is self-confident and self-reliant.
And they want a man who doesn't see himself as a victim of oppressive outside forces.
Now which political party might that guy lean toward, Rob?

Because like democrats, women feel that they know what's best for you. And if you're not living your life the way they think you should be living it, then you're screwed up.
