I have seen a few that were funny. One woman was holding a sign that said, "Will work for food/ Will dance for wine."
Another man I saw the other day held a sign that said, "I NEED a COLD BEER!" It was a very hot day, and you could look at the guy and tell he had been standing in the heat for a long time! I went to the convenience store down the block and bought him a 6 pack of very cold beer, he was really nice and thanked me. He took his 6 pack and sign and went on his way.
I don't usually give anything but food and sodas or water to these people, I hate to think that they may spend some of my money on Meth, it's such a big problem out here.
I just love truth in advertising! I thought the honesty of the man who was panhandling for the cold beer was really refreshing, and the fact that after he got what he was asking for he moved on to a secluded shady place to enjoy it made me feel like he was not just out there trying to get $10 for a hit of dope!

A few years ago I saw a guy with a sign that said something like "Need money for beer". At least he was honest!
About a year ago I would sometimes see a guy with an animal puppet. He was really funny and if I had actually passed by him I would have given him some money. And I NEVER give out money!

I have no idea but I have this friend that it is always getting asked for a cigarettes by bums, he found this shirt that says No I don't have a cigarette, get a job you F****** BUM!
