if you make the dean's list with a 3.5 GPA you can show it was a phase and you can get a decent job. You need to be cedible and a degree with good grades will do that.
By the tone of your writing, you sound like a puss! Go see gridiron gang, it may give you some inspiration.

LISTEN TO ME1
I HAVE A FELONY. I DROPPED OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL. I WENT TO COLLEGE AND HAVEN'T EVEN GOT A DEGREE YET, BUT I WAS GIVEN A JOB AS AN EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR AT A COMPANY I WAS WITH LESS THAN SIX MONTHS. AFTER SEVEN YEARS YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO MENTION THE FELONY AND YOU CAN GET IT SEALED. AN EDUCATION IS NEVER A BAD THING. IT HELPS YOU BECOME INTELLIGENT AND AFFLUENT IN THE WORLD AND ARTS THAT SURROUND YOU. EVEN IF IT ONLY MAKES YOU A BETTER PERSON IT IS WORTH IT. PLUS, YOU WILL HAVE MORE SELF CONFIDENCE AND YOU WILL BE A MORE LIKELY CANDIDATE IF AND WHEN AN OPPORTUNITY ARISES. GET GOOD GRADES AND ENLIGHTEN THE MASSES. LOOK AROUND, THE TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGING. YOU HAVE TO BUST YOUR A** TO GET AHEAD IN LIFE. DO IT UP!!! DON'T GIVE UP NOW, YOUR 21 WITH A WHOLE LIFE AHEAD OF YOU. GIT 'ER DONE

Getting a job with a felony is very difficult, but if you bust your backside and get a degree, that shows potential employers that you have cleaned up your act and are ready for some serious consideration. Keep your nose clean and get the degree.
Also, after a period of time, it may be possible to get your record sealed by the court. A college degree can be very useful to prove to the judge that you deserve that.

Everybody told you yesterday to stay in school and get it done. You aren't going to be worse off with a degree. Network with other students so you have good contacts when you are done. And don't keep asking questions till you get the answer you want, accept the answers others give.

don't give up cause later in life you will regret it. believe me. they should hire you for your skills and not your past. so just don't give up. if they don't hire you after you got the degree then its there fault not yours!
