Wear whatever color you want. Remember, white can make a light or fair skinned person look washed out. I'm blonde & blue with fair skin so I'd choose a cream, champagne, off white, pale pink or pale blue color. I've never even considered a white dress due to my fair coloring. If your darker skinned, white will be fine.

You'll find a dress. Check bridal stores, magazines, online stores & ask your friends who've married in the last year or two. They may know some place you haven't looked yet.

A friend of mine found a pale coral dress that was on the discount rack at a major bridal shop (of course I've forgotten the name). It was a design that didn't sell well & was marked way down. David's Bridal always has good prices & the dresses are gorgeous.

I observed that answer too. all of us is so stupid. Nah, in the olden days, people wore the suitable gown that they had. A queen is going up and springs to a decision to positioned on a white gown and persons have desperate to try this because then. Virgin or no longer, i does no longer positioned on a white gown because of the fact I do exactly no longer choose one. we are having an extremely nontraditional wedding ceremony, i'm donning a coloured Indian gown that fades from orange to maroon (for a fall-themed wedding ceremony). colour is the hot concern, a sprint of colour isn't that uncommon anymore. The final wedding ceremony I went to, the bride had a blue sash round her white gown. no person assumed something and that i presumed it made the gown plenty greater personalised and appealing.

A white wedding dress does NOT mean you are a virgin. It signifies a FIRST marriage, and because in olden days women were virgins when they got married, white became associated with virginity. WRONG! Wear white if it's your first wedding and be proud of it.

Whatever color makes YOU the most happy--its your wedding not the 10,000 critics weddings --Personally I think brides look beautiful in white, but myself I like black (i'm not into goth, but to me black dresses always look very elegant)
Weddings I've been at recently say that the white dresses represent the purity of your love for each other instead of representing your sexual purity (I guess trying to keep up with the times)

whatever colour you want. BUT before deciding on white try some white gowns on to see how the colour looks on you.
there are many different shades of white just as there are shades in other clolours.
I have made wedding dresses in a variety of colours;
1 of the nicest being a very pale pink one for a lady who had a rather pale complexion & the pink looked magnificent on her- she glowed.
choose whatever colour makes you look the best - regardless of whether it is white;ivory;red or any colour of the rainbow- it IS YOUR DAY to shine-
good luck & enjoy your day

Go with white if thats what you want. You don't have to wear an off white dress and let the whole congregation know your business.
