There's a bunch of people who claim there is nothing after death for their dogs and cats and I always laugh a little inside whenever I hear it. Humans are no different from a dog, a cat, a bug or a fish.
We're simply smart animals, that's all. There is no special afterlife for us, there is no way to prove we dont belong to the animal family, and I'm just wondering who else agree's with me.

Religion is an idea created to comfort us from the reality of death.

I hate adding so many details, but I think I should make clear that I'm an agnostic. I cant say if there is or isn't an afterlife, but if there is all life goes to the same place.

I notice you make no mention of plants. Where do they go when they die? By the way, when do they die? Is the individual living plant determined by a root system, or what? I suppose animals and humans may need plants in an afterlife, but will it be the "same" plants?
Further up the scale, what about euglena, bacteria, amoeba, paramecium, fungi, viruses, prions, hydrocoeles, plankton, coral, and so on?

I do agree with you to some point. But when it comes to afterlife, I'm a little uncertain. I do believe in God and whatever you reap, is what you sow though and I've had my fair share of miracles.
There is no absolute proof to deny "afterlife." You really don't know until it happens. That is, if it happens. Hopefully there is a heaven.

From my belief, I feel all after life goes to the same place in general to behavior on earth. Aka: heaven or hell. Who decides that is God, not human judgment (bible thumpers or crtics who can't smell their own cra.p they do).
There is people who feel that is b.s. Which is ok because we are all entitled to our own opinions. However, that is what I believe and that is what matters when it boils down to it in my life.
No one on earth, scientist or not can't determine how we evolved. What they can give us is theories. But those theories have been twisted and pulled part, glued to other links of bio-chemistry and all that. Everything is a theory until we all have our time of death. Whether we don't exist anymore, only in memorie of those living, or we do travel to an afterlife of another species or another "world".
I am trying to remember that quote, but it goes something like "Ghost/spirits see themselves as the living as they see the living as the dead".

You have a point. And for the dog lover...what would Heaven or the afterlife be without your beloved freinds? In other words, you better not kick the neighbors dog ( Or your own dog, for that matter) because you may come back as one!

If we identify with the body, then bodies die. Period. If we identify with Life, when a body dies Life goes on. People, animals, insects, plants and microorganisms are living things, expressions of Life. If we tune in to life, we are too occupied with the miracle of it to have beliefs about death.

We are energy that is constantly changing. A man sees a woman, our Brain sends electricity to a parts or our body,(energy transformed) they have sex( energy transformed) brain sends signal , sperm is released,(energy transformed) swims to egg, combines, starts birth(energy transformed), over 9 months, that energy is changing woman, gives birth, a separation from dependency of the mothers body(energy changed) child grows in various stages, infant, toddler, child, teen, adult, middle age, senior, death. No energy can create its self there has to be a source. That source calls it's self GOD GOD says after death we change in to our final stage.

There's no real way to know what goes on after we die but whatever we believe is obviously what we draw comfort from.
