First of all - there is no on/off of anything human.

Fear has to involve complex brain-chemistry that we are a long way from understanding.

However, when the do find the 'switch', if you want to call it that, they should find religion very close by because religion is only about fear.

Therefore, and this would be the greatest day in the history of the human race, maybe they can find the cause of religion and cure it.

Religion is a mental disorder and disease that kills the human mind, making people stupid and hateful.

Not all, but most wars are about god and religion. Most rape-torture-kill is about religion.

Almost every criminal in America is a Christian, and if not Christian then they believe in some other make believe mythological supreme god that kills just like the evil Christian god.

Why take the fear out, when it is cheaper to control a robot from 5000 miles away?

There are far too many options for the government before they decide to go down the slippery path of tinkering with the soldiers brains.

Well, there's no telling what applications that has. I'm not that religious, but I think you can have true fear, like fear in your soul, something that can't be turned off. I don't think it's as simple as what you're saying, though. But I don't know, I'm not one of those scientists. If it irradicates all fear, then I suppose it could be used for good, and on the other end of the spectrum, it could be used for evil. But without fear, what movies would we rent? :P
