Black pride is praised yet white pride is bashed.?

Why is it that my question was bashed yet if I were black it would have been praised as cultural preservation?

Of course, you are right that there is not yet balance between the blacks and the whites in this country, but we are working on it. We ladies are working on it the way we have since time began. It has always worked, too.

I agree that it isn't an easy thing to understand if you're white, but I'll see what I can do. Black people have been looked upon as a lower class in the US, so they needed a movement to help them get their self-esteem back. I don't know that they still need it. White people never really needed such a thing. The white power thing doesn't help white people recover lost self-esteem, it just turns into hate rallies. The black pride movement could do the same if it continues for too long. It is the same for any minority group in this country. There is some good that comes out of a pride movement and then there is a time that comes when it has done all the good it's going to do.

Well most of the time white power is targeted toward blacks people or anyone that's not white. Seeing what black people went through I could understand why. Seeing that they we were treated like animals. I'm against racism but be proud of who u are. When blacks say black power it's mostly to try to better a situations they are in. For so long white was suppose to be Superior but what we need to know is that God created us all alike!! We are the same accept for skin color if a cut a white person their going to bleed red blood just as if I cut a black person they would bleed red blood. We need to get pass all this racist black power and racist white power. People can have freedom of speech but I do believe if what u saying is rude and hurtful and POINTLESS u should keep it to yourself!!! lol by the why Black history is only a month out the year but in you u school u learn American history(white) So think about 1 month is not enough it school be taught in the classes as well!!! Just my opinion.

It is because the perception of your question may have been misinterpreted. It is not a white and black issue as much as it is a monetary issue. White or black does not matter as much as green. read animal Farm. you will find that rich blacks and rich whites share more in common that those of the same race who are of the same economical bracket. the black / white pride thing is just another way those at the top try to confuse us to fighting with each other instead of addressing those who really have control and clout!!

I always associated White Pride with the KKK. So it has a racist connotation to me.

Maybe because whites associate themselves with a nationality like Ireland or Italy. Black people don't have Zulu day or Xoasa day at a carnival.
