I am 11 weeks pregnant while I know I am not a dr. I feel my uterus to see if its growing and I am scaried, it doesn't feel very big or hard but I am not bleeding or having constant cramps. I was wondering shouldn't pregnancy be noticable by now? Shouldn't my stomach be growing and would I automatically have a miscarriage if something was wrong? I am very worried I am going to see a specialist but I still thought I would look for other opinions til I got there

When your pregnancy starts showing, it mainly depends on your body type and how you're carrying the pregnancy. Relax, I didn't start showing until I was 6 and 1/2 months pregnant while one of my friends starting showing at four weeks, before she even knew that she was pregnant. Stick to healthy foods and do gentle exercise and the pregnancy will start showing on it's own accord. Don't put too much pressure on your uterus while you're checking, leave that up to a professional, if all signs show that you have a healthy bub, rejoice in that. And take it easy!

Showing At 11 Weeks

every woman shows at different times, and it also depends on your body size to begin with. The uterus hides behind and is supported by the pelvis for quite a while and generally rises straight up for the first trimester (a week or two more for you) and then starts to push forward as it suddenly has more room to grow. I wasn't obviously showing (I had a bit of a tummy to begin with and rather large, overshadowing bosom) until about 7 months and had an 8 lb 3 oz, 21.5" long baby boy!!
Drink plenty of water, as the amniotic fluid needs to be constantly replenished. Your doctor knows what to feel for and can tell the difference between your bladder and uterus, which I still can't do now that I'm not pregnant anymore. If you're worried about it, you should be getting the first fetal heartbeat soon at your next appointment but don't worry if you don't hear it the first or first few times. If you haven't seen a dr yet then do so.

You have nothing to worry about. Every pregnancy is different. With my first I was in maternity clothes at 6 weeks, but with my second I wasn't in them until I was 7 months. Nobody believed I was really pregnant the second time. So don't be scared. Try going to google and searching for some pictures of the size of the fetus at 11 weeks. Its not big at all so he/she wont take up much room. But you may start to feel the baby move soon, I felt my son move when I was 12 weeks. It feels kinda like you have gas, excuse the expression. Lay very still flat on your back and put your hand below your belly button and wait, sometimes it takes a while, but don't worry if you don't feel anything. Also, you can buy a fetal heart monitor at wal-mart so you can hear your baby moving and listen to its heart beat. But don't be worried, your baby is still very small and doesn't need much room so you may not show for a while. I am sure you have nothing to worry about. You need to stay calm for the baby's sake and your own. Try parenting.com I think it is and looking at the pictures. Keep yourself busy until your dr apt. And try your best not to get upset, that is the best thing right now. I hope everything is ok and good luck with your pregnancy and your baby.

I am 10 1/2 weeks pregnant... and I weigh less than I did before I got pregnant and the baby is great! I had an ultrasound cause I was worried myself. Great heartbeat, wonderfully growing... no need to worry. Some people don't show until their 5th or 6th month. Especially with their first child. Also if you feel better about it I can't feel my uterus either, but everything is fine. Make your appt for reassurance. An ultrasound is great. When you hear that heartbeat it reduces m/c chances GREATLY and it's music to a mother's ears.

Not everyone shows by 11 weeks. Most women don't show till second trimester. So don't worry. Enjoy your pregrancy if you can. No pregancy shouldn't be noticeable by 11 weeks. Women have had their pregrancy hidden in the first trimester. The fetus is still very small at 11 weeks and so is the uterus. Congradulations on your pregancy!

I didn't show until I was six months pregnant with my first. I started showing at 12 weeks with my second. You may not show for a while. As long as your check ups are good, don't worry about it. Congrats!

All woman start to show at different times. I really didn't start to show till my 13th or 14th week. You'll know if you miscarry, so don't worry. Just try not to stress yourself, it's not good for you or the baby. Your uterus should be well below your belly button. My uterus is at my belly button now and I'm almost 20 weeks. Just try to relax and take things slow. It's normal to be worried. I constantly worry. Congrats! Hope all is well.
