Let me just say this. In this world there are certain things you must do in order to achieve your dreams. Bragging about yourself in an interview is definitely one of them, as long as you have the resources to back it up. If you do not let that employer know what a wonderful attribute to their company you will be then who is going to tell them? You must always toot your own horn. It shows self confidence and leadership abilities. If you are "the man" or "woman" you better let someone know. Make sure your resume is up to par and you have the top notch references for them to call and verify you are all what you say you are. Always choose personal references that are as excited about you as you are about yourself. Those high strung friends you have that sometimes make you feel like your on a downer because they are so spazzed, are the perfect people to put on your reference list. They are the ones who will brag about you too. Bottom line, YES YES YES, brag, boast, and self proclaim yourself, if you are as good as you say you are you employer will be singing your praise right along with you. Good for pay increase and bonuses. GOOD LUCK!

It depends on how you do it. If you're in an interview, and you have personal experience that may relate in some way to the question, by all means, state your accomplishments, but keep it short and to the point, I wouldn't sit there for five or ten minutes rambling on how good you are, especially if it's going to be in an environment where you need to work in a team.

Yes in a sense. Not bragging so much as showing what you can bring to an employer. They want to know what your good traits/skills are to decide if they will hire you.

If by brag you mean "puff up and lie", then no.

It's a delicate balance but you need to sell yourself not brag. If you brag you become obnoxious. Some jobs require that you are obnoxious so that could be good, but most employers are turned off by obnoxious people.

Listing your acomplishments and skills is good. If it reaching the point of bragging, you might want to calm down a bit and try being more humble.

bragging by definition is to talk boastfully. but in an interview, it's not really bad to brag, but be sure, whatever you are talking about or whatever you are telling, is real. so in sense, it's not bragging at all, you are just excited to tell them what you are all about. good luck.
