It all depends on what quest you are on. Many of us go through stages throughout our lives, we hit a plateau of achievement, and then have a sense of emptiness, it may not last that long, but it is reality.
I am a happy person, but not always content, not always satisfied. I have achieved many things in my years, some things I would have liked to have seen different, some not.
but I also think we make our own happiness, and that makes it easier to accept the achievements.

I'm quite happy. I have a great hubby, great kids, nice home, but I'm always trying to better myself. I am not done achieving and striving, but I'm happy with where I am at this point in my life.

I am.

I relaxed my expections and started to enjoy really simple stuff, and stopped trying to enjoy "cool" things.

A Good example is concerts, I've been to allot but never really enjoyed them. I love music but the crowds and cost and noise wasn't really the way I enjoyed music and my favorite groups. But I thought it would be fun and went for years before I figured out I'm not having fun.
