Yes and no. If you quit smoking, within a few weeks you will be breathing 30% better and within so much amount of time, you can be breathing very well. So in a sense, yes, but the patch itself won't relieve it exactly.

I don't think there is a cure. I had to be heavily medicated and locked in a rubber room while I fought the withdrawal shakes. Violent outbursts ensued.
