He says he is gay but has made me countless CD's with love songs on them... lyrics filled with wanting to get closer and this and that... what should I think?
We are good friends and I have always been strongly attracted to him and I believe he knows what I feel for him... what am I to think?

If he says he's gay you have to take him at his word. I had a very close gay friend who made me many tapes (it was before you could record on CDs) full of love songs. He was completely genuine in giving them to me. We did love each other, just not in a romantic sort of way (ok, I had a crush on him for a while). We were very good friends and it was just his way of expressing his (platonic) love for me.
Since you say you are attracted to him, I can understand how you would want to read something more into it. It was difficult for me at times not to do the same thing. But if you keep questioning whether he is telling you the truth about his sexual orientation you're just going to wind up getting hurt. He told you he's gay, he is gay.
If you want him in your life you're going to have to get a grip on your feelings. It sounds like he loves you a lot and would be a great friend.

You may be reading more into his being nice to you, since you do say that you like him more then friends. If he's told he that he's gay, then you should respect that and not push anything, you may end up losing a great friend. Most songs have love in them anyway, you need more then that to think that he wants you.

Ever concider he may think you like those type of songs and is just being nice? I wouldn't read more into it than there is, people get hurt that way.

well like he sayes he's gays. look at it like he's ur best gf in the world..Phsssst he's the kinda guy u can take shooping wit u and he won't fall sleep and the won't lie when u ask him what do u think abuot these shoes. LOl hope that has helped u
