my vision of america starts local and mostly stays local. local involvement is the best way to get people to care about others and politics. if society is good then the youth will turn out good, so i don't really think of youth interests as a separate category from general social interests.

I hate to be a pessimist, but our lives are controlled by folks
making decisions for us that have no idea of what the common
man is about - others that dont care - others that are incompetant
The rich get richer and the corrupt get corrupter (If that is a word)
The rest of us are just "Also rans" We have little chance of having a say in what is what - your vote is a joke - your opinion
is inconsequencial. I worked many years with people from countries that I never heard of, who know more about my country than I do. We are ignorant and college does not make us smarter
Poorer countries are intent on taking what we have and we are
like sheep quietly grazing in a field.

Well, only in the most ultimate sense does it start local: it starts individually, then at the city OR county (not "AND county": these need to comprise areas outside any city limits), then goes onto the state, then the federal government, and then any world discourse.

Local control is the best way it should be.

Control the thugs and allow parents to discipline their kids...

Bring back the paddle, as it is an effective tool in teaching consequences for bad actions....obviously modern psychology has failed in its philosophy and robbed children of the opportunity to learn to distinguish between right and wrong...
