What is motion? It is a *relationship* between things. Absolute motion seems to be a null-concept. Motion is always a point of view, a certain apprehension by one observer that another object's relation to self is changing in position. Even this concept is very murky. How do I know that the distance between "me" and "you" is changing? If I know your size and if I assume it's unchanging then a change in your size means that "there is motion" associated with us both. But still, I cannot say if it is you moving, or me moving, or both of us moving. There is no *absolute* point of reference to be found in this universe. At least it does not seem to be that way. Yet, yet it seems there is a kind of motion which in a sense seems absolute:rotation. But we're getting in deep waters here...
