ATV or full size 4x4?
ATV- Honda or Polaris, as previously stated
4x4- 1979 Ford Bronco or 1978, 1979 F150
cheap parts, lots of upgrades, easy to fix, I drive my 1979 Bronco every day just because I like it. I also have a 2002 explorer, but it just doesn't have the character that the bronco does.

I own a 2001 Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. It is a nice machine. But, my cousin bought a Honda last year...nicer machine. I think the manufacturers are making them better every year. Best thing I can tell you is to test drive them before you buy them.

Range Rover. Expensive but some very old ones are still on the road and off. If money was no issue that is where I would put mine. Remember parts will be expensive as well.

It depends on what type of riding you will be doing. We have Yamaha's. They are dependable but you need to maintain them.
