So because 10% of the people in some stupid poll like a team, that means that we can extrapolate that they should be the team for the other 90%?
It's the pompous arrogance of assuming that everyone likes them and that they should be America's Team that makes most people hate Dallas.
Good example of this? In the 1981 season, the Cowboys played at San Francisco during the regular season (they would later lose at San Francisco in the NFC title game when Dwight Clark made "The Catch). They had beaten the Niners 59-14 the previous season in Dallas. During the game in 1981, the Cowboys fell behind 21-0 and ended up losing 45-14. The TV ratings for the game went UP throughout the game.

A lot of it is self inflicted. No..I don't buy into the whole fanbase being rednecks...... But even in those years from 95 til Romo...all you heard from Dallas fans is how they are the best...even when the record shows they weren't, and honestly, still aren't. Got no problem with people supporting their team, or being proud even when they are down..... I hate fan arrogance. Buckeye fans are known for it. SEC fans are. And Dallas and Steeler fans are the epitome of it in the NFL. Apparently, your crap never stinks. And then add into the Texas belief that everything is bigger and better in the Lone Star St., and it just kinda comes natural. The arrogance of the whole "America's Team" thing doesn't help, either. BUT...as you know, my friend..I may not like your team, but I judge the fans individually. You and Lemony and a few others are OK, even if you can occasionally be a tad delusional about how good your team or players are. But don't feel too bad... there is a vocal group of Colts and Patriot fans out there that are becoming even more hated than the Cowboys. So...maybe someday you wont root for the most hated franchise in the NFL. It also probably doesn't help that Dallas was the original Bandwagon NFL team, either.

As A Steeler fan I never hated but really wanted to beat the Cowboys and their label of America's team. I always admired and respected Tom Landry and actually the super organization of the Dallas Cowboys. When Jerry Jones took over and hired Jimmy Johnson (2 superegos) I began to despise them . Now that Bill Parcels is coach and some of their arrogant players are goneI look at them totally different . I actually root for them in most games...but if they play my Steelers never lol!

Aren't we supposed too?
I never liked them, but I started hating them when Jones bought the team. I didn't like the way he treated Landry. It got worse when they hired Switzer as coach, he was a bigger tool than Jones. Now they have Parcels, yet another douche bag.
I'm glad they have T.O., you deserve to put up with that clown. I look forward to him tearing your team apart, as he always does.
Troy is the most overrated QB ever, put him on a avg. team, and he's an avg. QB. He's given way too much credit for being on a good team.
Throw in all the drug scandals, arrests, and other corruption. Give us one reason to like them?

As an Eagles fan, it is my job to hate the Cowboys. They are not only our division rivals but they signed Terrell Owens. I hate them more than any other team in the NFL... although the Giants are gaining on them.
GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!
