Where do I find planting instructions for Wisteria Seeds?

My parents have had Wisteria for as long as I can remember. I have grow plants from their seeds quite simply by sticking them in the ground and watering them regularly. " hay they are seeds and do this themselves in nature all the time".They seem to like a lot of sun,as plants I have grown on the south side of my house are over the gutters and need to be trimmed back to keep from clogging them.My suggestion is to collect a lot of seeds"pods" and keep them near a window with a lot of sun and keep them dry. When thy are ready to plant , the pods will pop open."warning if you drop a pod close to this stage it is a bit startling the first time as it is somewhat unexpected. Plant 2 or 3 seeds per hole about 1 inch deep and keep moist until they sprout. This may take a week or two. Don't over water after this as they may rot. if done outside in a sunny location they will pretty much grow themselves.

Are you sure you want to plant Wisteria?

I'm asking because it can be extremely invasive, if you don't make it a priority to prune it frequently.

It's taken over my mother's entire backyard, climbed the house, gotten under the siding and damaged the bathroom window, invaded the detached garage, up under the siding, roof, and garage door, turned the backyard into a thicket of arching vines that God only knows what might live in there...

When I was in the nursery business, anyone buying a wisteria from me had to promise, in writing, that they knew what they were getting: an extremely hardy, highly invasive vine that could pull the shutters off their house, send runners (self-rooting) up to fifty or more feet long in all diredtions in one summer, a plant that you didn't want to stand still next to because you'd have a tendril grasping your ankle. As for planting seeds, just stick them in the ground and they'll grow. Be aware, though, it can take up to seven years for them to flower from seed. You have been warned!
