O.K. everyone my ovulation cycle started on the 5th of sep. MY most fertile day was on the 9th. Which my husband and I had sex on, including the day after then skipped two days then again. MY next period is due on the 22nd. I was so excited to test because of some symptoms I was having,I went out and bought a first response hpt. I tested on the 19th, it was neg. It ended up making me very..... sad. Today two days early I start spotting, which is unusual because my period is very precise,a 27day cycle. I spotted for a few hours and now it's gone. Could this have been implantation bleeding? It's acually 12days past the most fertile period in my ovulation cycle. Could it be?

Implantation bleeding is usually just a couple pinkish watery drops. Looks kinda like watermelon juice. Implantation occurs from 5 -7 days following conception. It is doubtful, that far out from ovulation, if you were correct about when you ovulated at least, that what you saw would have been implantation bleeding. However, let me remind you that not all women experience implantation bleeding. So, the absence of implantation bleeding does not rule out pregnancy. The best thing to do is relax. Get your mind off it and retest later.

Yes, it could be. We tried getting pregnant beginning of January and while I had had some pregnancy symptoms that month I didn't think anything of it because I "thought" I had gotten my period. (I should add that I had had the IUD taken out in November) I didn't take a test because I didn't want to get my hopes up. Then end of February when I took the test it said positive. When I went in for my 1st Doctor's visit, they did an ultrasound and it turns out I was 6 weeks further along. Turns out that the "period" I got in January really wasn't a period; it was implantation bleeding. I'm sort of glad I didn't know I was pregnant otherwise I would have freaked out thinking I was having a miscarriage. I'm actually 40 weeks 1 day today, so now I'm waiting waiting waiting. Sooo...good luck to you!

Yes. Implantation bleeding can occur.

Do not be too bummed out about the test. Certain tests only show positive when your body has enough of the hcg hormone.

First Response tends to only be accurate with higher levels even though they say they are early accurate.

I would recommend, if you have a Walgreen's in your area, picking up a store brand test. They test at lower levels. If it comes up negative, then you are probably not pregnant.

It could be that or it could be the start of your period... you can't really tell at this point. I would take another test on the 22nd with your first morning urine . Good Luck
