This is normal. Many women develop darkened skin and some see moles on their bodies grow. It is due to the Human Chorionic Gondatropin.
From the link below: The splotches can show up around your upper lip, nose, upper cheeks, and forehead, sometimes in the shape of a mask (think Lone Ranger). Commonly called the "mask of pregnancy" (but officially known as chloasma or melasma), these splotches may also show up on your forearms and other parts of your body that are exposed to the sun, and they may be more pronounced with each pregnancy.
Hope that helps.
I never had those issues with darkening skin, but I did have the linea negra and mole growth.
If you would like to discuss any other pregnancy issues, feel free to email me directly.

That is completely normal! I've had dark circles under my eyes during both of my pregnancies, and they DO go away (after giving birth).. All I can say is.. foundation, foundation, foundation!! ;)
Mac has foundation that covers fabulously!! ..You'd likely continue using their products even after pregnancy, they can 'brighten' up your face, and make you look younger (and feel better) as well..
If you want to do something else to make yourself feel better during pregnancy, you could get some Crest White Strips for your teeth as well to improve your look at this weight-gaining-dark-circles-under-eyes-don't-dye-your-hair time..
Whatever makes you feel better!!
Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy, and after!! :)

There's definitely a genetic factor. My dad had them and I do, too. Mine are worse when I'm sleep-deprived, but always there. Luckily, females can routinely add a dab of cover-stick to our skin, even if we're not wearing makeup, to minimize our dark circles. The skin itself isn't actually dark, you know. It's quite thin, so the blood and tissue, which are darker, show through it.

I haven't experienced but read about it and it is COMPLETELY normal. Sometimes it'll go away while later in pregnancy, sometimes not until a little after the baby is born. Hope this helps.

Hmm, I had it too, but it went away after my daughter was born. Just try to get enough sleep.
