I frequent Walmart, Kmart, and JcPenney. Walmart is always reasonable, and if I go to the other two stores, they usually have a sale going on.

With babies, one of the main problems is how fast they grow out of their clothes. So if you happen to know of anyone who is finished with their children's/baby's clothes, that's a great place to start. Personally, my mom and I love hitting the thrift stores and seeing what we can find. When my son was born, he was 7lbs, instead of the 10lbs like the doc had estimated. My hubby and I live an hour away from our hometown (where I decided to give birth) and all the clothes we had with us were huge LOL. So Mom went to the Goodwill store, and bought my son 4 adorable outfits for a grand total of $2.00! It was great because he grew out of them within a month, and I didn't have to feel like I'd spent a large amount of money on something that didn't last very long. (Here in Canada, most baby outfits start around 10-15 dollars at Zellers or Wal Mart).

As with any second hand clothing, washing it before wearing it is a good idea, of course. If ya get a chance, check it out, you may be surprised at what ya can find!

Good Luck, and happy shopping! :D

Definately check out ebay!! I just bought a great lot of clothes for my son, and most were brand new. I got 87 peices of clothing, including a winter jacket and bunting, shoes, and everything you can think of. I paid $169.00 for it, and it worked out to like $2.73 per peice. Way cheaper than in any store. Of course, not all clothes sold on ebay are this size or price, but if you can find one, jump on it! You can find some really great clothes for excellent prices there. Good luck! If you need any help or have any questions about setting up an account with ebay or paypal, email me and I can help. I hope you find what you are looking for!

My daughter never had any new clothes until she was school age. bought all her clothes at yard sales. Kids outgrow their clothes so fast at that age, they aren't worn out, and some people get so many outfits for their kids at this age, that they only wear them once or twice before they outgrow them. and even though a lot of them have stains, there are usually so many yard sales with baby clothes that you can pick and choose and just buy the really nice stuff.

Try garage sale. They sometimes have stuffs that was only worn once for $1 or less.
Try goodwill too. They do have some good stuffs, you just need to wash them throughly.

Other option could be online (ebay), target, or walmart.
Old navy sometimes have sale on baby clothes.

Old Navy. They have good quality clothes there and they always have a huge clearance section. Always. I like to go there and pick out things that I like regular price, and then go back a few weeks later and get them on clearance.

Also, Target. (as many other people have said)

Before you go out and spend your money, ask your friends or your friends' friends that also have children who were once toddlers. If their kids just grew out of their baby clothes, most likely they're trying to find out what to do with them.
