Sounds perfect to me. Typically you take the baby for a 6 month check up so the doc can give you imput then, but remember, children are establishing the taste for foods they'll eat later in life at this point so the more items the child is exposed to-even the weirdish ones- yams, apricots, soy, peas, as many veggies as you can get her to eat, the less picky she'll be as a toddler. Therefore you'll be able to give her better nutrition and keep her healthier for the rest of her life.
Not to give too much advice but try to avoid any processed foods, food dyes and preservatives. The rule of thumb is if there's more than 3 ingredients you can't pronounce, don't eat it.
Above all, in this polluted environment in which we live try to lesson the exposure to toxins by using organic whenever possible. May be a little more expensive but much less costly than hospitals and doctors. Organics have many more vitamins in them because they rotate the soil and instead of reusing soil that's depleted of all it's mineral and nutrients from all the previous crops, not to mention the pesticides that are just sitting there waiting to be absorbed by the next crop season.
Hope this helps.

DH's family all seem to have large infants. My oldest was 20 lbs at 6 months, my youngest was 17 lbs at 6 months (she had also been very sick at 3 months so I don't think she reached her full potential of weight). Now my oldest is 12, 5 ft, 110lbs (just under 75% height and weight with a good BMI), my youngest is 9 4'11", 99 lbs (over the 95% height and weight with a good BMI).

I bring up their size now to show that heavy babies do often grow up to be "normal" weights. Our growth patterns vary. My oldest stayed 20 pounds for almost a year and they told me she'd never make 5 ft. My BIL has a 1 year old that was 24 pounds around 6 months. DH was 32 pounds at 18 months old and was "underweight" as an adult for a long time (now he's about at the right weight).

That sounds a little to much for a 5 and 1/2 month old baby, my daughter is just 20 months old and weights 20lbs. But that could be normal for your baby.

My daughter is 8 1/2 months old and weighs 17.7 lbs , but my nephew is 3 months old and weighs 13.8 lbs and the doctors say they are following the charts perfect so I guess your baby sounds normal too.

That is perfectly fine' remember not all babies are alike and there is a thing known as baby obesity too. So, do not compare your child to another as long as she is eating fine she is okay. I have a four month old boy he weughs 15.2 nurses just 5 to 10 minutes on a breast or both and his Ped says he is healthy. So guess what at 51/2 he will probably be 16 pounds too. The nurse at his Peds office said they normally double their birth weight at 6 months. Mine was 7lbs 14oz at birth and he has already doubled his weight before 6 months. As long as yours is gaining weight gradually too she is just fine...girl sit back and enjoy your healthy baby.

Sounds like the perfect size. Babies should double by 4 months so if she started out at 7 or so, she's right on track.

Yes is fine. Dont be afraid to feed her because even though she gets a lil chunky when she starts to crawl and walk. She'll grow into it her weight and they dont eat as much because they get so distracted playing and discovering.

PEDIASURE IS GREAT IT HELPS KIDS GAIN WEIGHT IF YOU GIVE IT TO THEM AS THEY LAY DOWN FOR BED OR RIGHT BEFORE.

What does your pediatrician say?
I think she would be right in the 50th percentile for her weight.
Try doing her charts here:
