It's because people like you don't even ask a legitimate question, so people like me don't really know how the f*** to answer it.

It's about the 2 points. You know the ones I got for answering this question. And then if you pick my answer as Best, I get 10 of course. There is always that chance, no matter how stupid the answer is. I have done research online and looked up my technical manuals to answer some questions, only to have the asker pick the one that involved using duct tape. You never know, it's all about personal preference and expectations I guess. And so many people are afraid to take a car in for repairs, when usually trying to fix it at home ends up causing more damage than they had in the first place. Instead of thirty dollars for a bad bushing, they replaced the entire front suspension for 3,000 in parts and still have a noise? The repair shop diagnostic fee now sounds reasonable doesn't it? Go figure, I guess I went to years of training and worked on thousands of vehicles to be ignored, while the clerk at the local Dairy Queen driving the Vespa gets the best answer for using duct tape. ( any reference to actual individuals is purely coincidental and unintended) But, I'll still take the 2 points regardless:)

I couldn't help the Vespa reference, I was thinking about the dinkiest ride I could come up with and had an "American Graffiti" flashback. It happens sometimes. Vespas are a hot item now I hear and bring top dollar! I drive an 88 Sprint to work everyday, a Vespa may be an upgrade, but I like my 45 miles to the gallon with the 3 banger of fury! Saves me a ton of cash!

NOT A CLUE: Check my best answer score against yours and we will see who is the real "genius". Oh, you didn't answer the question either. If you can't run with the big boys, walk behind me and carry my toolbox. People like you are why the question was asked in the first place.

man, they are all just a bunch of people trying to get along in this ***** of a world and do their best to keep me entertained errrrrrr hlp each other out.

They do serve their purpose though. It would seem that many people asking really do need professional help. It's the idiot answerers that help them to realize that fact, more often than not.

I don't believe for a second that these people, who don't even realize that It might help to know what kind of car we're talking about, might be able to do even the slightest smidgeon of our job successfully. So that being the case do you really think they should go by what you tell them and try to fix it themselves? I think not. That would do them a terrible injustice. I mean these people are convinced that a MAP sensor is the cause of their problems but they can't find it. Clearly if they knew what it was, they would know just where to look, but that is not who we are answering. So squash that bug in your a$$ and go someplace else.

Yugie29 is very funny, intelligent, and usually correct. Wish i could just attach his answer to the end of mine, I totally agree.

Hahahhhh Dairy Queen, Vespa

well, if you really want to know..... In general I would say about 80% of people couldn't tell you a spark plug from a rod bearing. 10% of the people out there know a little something. usually just enough to get them into trouble. and the other 10% are actually competent to work on vehicles.

It MUST be for the points, because a whole lot of what is offered is not only wrong, it isn't even thought out. Some of this stuff comes from people who screw up their own cars, and not satisfied, MUST screw it up for everybody else.
Misery loves company (plus the points).
