if you talking about the animal reptile ones.... try not to camp under a tree and pour sulpher in a ring around the campsite.Check first though for if they can't get in.... they can't get out too!!
And about the one-eye snake variaty...... not sure! Smile....

I,ve camped all over the world,even the desert and never saw one, 30 years, just keep everything zipper up tight and use your eyes and ears
